Gosfield School

Set in an impressive estate of 100 acres of parkland, Gosfield School is an independent, co-educational through school delivering a consistent and supportive learning environment for children from 2 to 18 years old. Pupils throughout the school benefit from our fine facilities and age-appropriate specialist teaching, taking each educational transition in their stride. Whilst Gosfield has a history of consistently strong GCSE results, there are no academic entrance tests.

Children can grow and reach their potential in all that they do in a supportive, friendly environment. They are cared for and challenged, helped to become more independent and confident, and develop a love of learning and the determination to be the best that they can be. Our excellent learning environment and experienced teaching staff ensure we deliver a broad and balanced education for all pupils, while recognising that each child is an individual with particular strengths, needs and interests.

Our excellent pastoral care is second to none and enrichment is a key part of being a Gosfield pupil. We run a wide range of extra-curricular activities to inspire and challenge. Gosfield is a member of the Independent Schools Association (ISA) which enables us to offer opportunities for our pupils to participate in Area and National Competitions for Sport, Drama and the Arts, at world leading venues.

The Prep School has outstanding, purpose-built facilities and high academic standards with an emphasis on Maths and English. Our teacher-led Nursery and Reception uses a creative approach to teaching and learning. We have extended opening hours from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Your child can join Gosfield from their 2nd birthday and at any point during the academic year.

The Prep School offers a range of subject specialist lessons including Forest School, Spanish, Computing and PE to enrich their learning. As part of a through school, all children mix together regularly from the ages of 4-18.

Our Senior School delivers tailored learning experiences. Small by design, classes are typically made up of just 10-12 pupils. The maximum class size at Gosfield is 20. This means that every pupil gets individual time and support from the teacher which in turn creates a strong relationship and builds trust whilst ensuring that each pupil is challenged and supported.

Our Sixth Form has a history of excellent results and boasts small class sizes which enables full participation, giving students the confidence to express their views openly in preparation for university. The dedicated Sixth Form facilities have recently been refurbished and they include quiet study rooms, a spacious lounge and a kitchen area.
