New Hall School, voted the TES Independent School of the Year 2016 is a boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 3-18 years. It is set in a stunning location, dominated by the former Tudor palace of Beaulieu – once owned by Henry VIII – and surrounded by a historic park and gardens.

New Hall operates the highly successful 'diamond model' structure, that is, co-education in the Preparatory Divisions (ages 3-11), single-sex education in the Girls' & Boys' Divisions (11-16) and co-education in the Sixth Form (16-18). In this way, New Hall provides the best of both worlds; the benefits of a co-educational environment, together with the advantages of girls and boys being taught separately during the formative years of adolescence. This enables students to grow in confidence, whilst enjoying an education that is specifically tailored and that recognises the different ways in which boys and girls learn.

The Preparatory Divisions offers a rich and varied curriculum within an environment where every child is known. Small class sizes of around 20 children, along with differentiated lessons and setting for Maths and English in Years 3 and 5 respectively, ensure that pupils are appropriately challenged and make exceptional progress. Wraparound care and an optional breakfast club offer peace of mind to busy parents who know their children are in a safe, caring and familiar setting.

The school runs a Most Able and Talented programme, which is proven to bring added value to examination results. In 2017, GCSE and A Level students achieved strong results, with over 44% of A Level grades at A*-A, and 54% at GCSE. 83% of GCSE grades and 76% of A Level grades were A*-B. The school has an established Oxbridge programme, with a successful track record of offers from both universities.

A second AstroTurf and state of the art 3G pitch, plus a sports hospitality area, opened in 2017. A new Pre-Prep building is in the pipeline, providing two-form entry at 3+ and a further class for 4+ joiners. Early Years pupils are now able to access part of the woodland, as a part of a 'Forest School' initiative. A new Science Centre is planned for the future, for use by the Preparatory and Senior Divisions.

The co-curricular provision in music, performing & creative arts and sports is outstanding. National and regional successes abound, including from the school's ski, golf and equestrian teams. Sports facilities include: a national standard athletics track, floodlit AstroTurf pitch, fitness centre and gym, 10 floodlit tennis and netball courts, cricket and rugby pitches, and a 6-lane 25m indoor swimming pool.

High academic expectations and achievements, together with outstanding pastoral care, make New Hall a wonderful place to be educated.
